3rd Shift Transportation Supervisor
to oversee drivers and transportation operations to ensure safe, timely, and efficient deliveries. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and compliance management skills to maintain smooth overnight operations. Responsibilities
Staff Management
Monitor driver departure times to ensure on-time performance. Supervise, coach, and evaluate drivers and support staff. Conduct performance reviews and administer corrective action when necessary. Train employees on safe driving practices, company policies, and procedures. Operations Execution
Provide dispatch services and maintain clear, consistent communication with drivers. Ensure on-time deliveries and optimize route and equipment utilization. Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve service issues. Safety & Compliance
Enforce company policies and DOT transportation regulations. Monitor adherence to safety standards and internal compliance rules. Oversee vehicle inspections and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules. Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records including driver schedules, accident reports, and compliance logs. Prepare operational reports and support data analysis to improve efficiency. Respond to road calls, breakdowns, and incidents to ensure minimal disruption to service. Essential Skills & Knowledge
Leadership:
Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Communication:
Strong verbal and written skills across all levels. Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in transportation management systems and related software. Regulatory Knowledge:
Strong understanding of DOT and transportation compliance. Problem-Solving:
