Summary
Drive employee engagement by enabling a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance. Responsible for leading the relationship building efforts, efficient operations of a full service banking center and ensuring the proper training and development of the staff, in order to provide excellent customer service. Directs the overall sales and service initiatives of the location, assumes a proactive role in customer interaction and service to include meeting with customers, discussing their specific banking needs in person both at the branch, and at the customer's location. Work closely with business partners to service existing and prospective customers. Expected to spend significant time conducting outside sales efforts directed at prospecting business and retail customers, and centers of influence and to participate in community service opportunities in the market. This person may be assigned to more than one office. From an operational standpoint, BCM provides oversight to ensure that all established policies, procedures, and security measures are followed. Responsibilities also include assisting in hiring, supervising, training and coaching the staff to achieve Bank service, sales and operational objectives. Essential Functions

Personally models the standards of the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Pledge. Assess the financial needs of Banking Center clients and make appropriate recommendations. Consistently meets and exceeds banking center sales goals for loans, deposits, partner referrals and profitability. Promote the sales culture within the banking center and ensure staff receive proper management, coaching and training to demonstrate abilities to sell and cross-sell products to reach goals. Communicate goals to staff and work toward meeting them; monitor performance and adjust goals; initiate sales promotions as needed. Lead development of small business banking opportunities through calling efforts, originations, or referrals to meet sales goals and client needs. Oversee and contribute to branch consumer production and growth to achieve budgeted results. Set priorities, direct and delegate responsibilities, and follow through on implementation of activities. Promote company products and services in the community to support growth of the Bank. Handle operational aspects of the banking center, including audits and reports, monitoring control accounts, branch cash levels, cash items, and over/short. Recruit and assist in proper training, coaching and development of the banking center staff. Ensure sales and staff meetings are conducted as directed and staff are well informed. Communicate job expectations and evaluate performances, providing continual coaching and guidance. Prepare and deliver fair, measurable performance evaluations and recommend salary increases and promotions as appropriate. Represent the bank by participating in local service clubs, community groups and other civic or non-profit organizations. Provide service to customers and prospective customers on banking matters, including explanation of products and resolution of problems. Build strong working relationships with internal business partners and provide constructive peer feedback. Demonstrate sound judgment and decision making by following guidelines and utilizing appropriate resources. Maintain prescribed security controls to protect the office against risks. Provide ongoing education of policies and procedures to staff and ensure adherence. Maintain confidentiality of employee information and customer business. Contribute in a team environment to service customer needs by answering calls and supporting Banking Center operations. Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the banking center staff. Foster a team concept across Banking Center staff and other lines of business. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws, including evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Engage in pro-active recruiting, interviewing, and assisting with hiring, coaching and training employees. Plan, assign and direct work as part of supervisory responsibilities. Other Skills and Requirements
Banking is a regulated industry; maintain proficiency in bank policies and procedures and adhere to applicable laws and regulations; complete compliance training timely. Proficient in Microsoft 365; ability to conduct meetings, coaching, and training using technology; proficient with banking software and digital services. Ability to read and interpret business materials; write reports and business correspondence; present information and respond to questions effectively. Ability to apply common sense to detailed instructions and handle problems with standard variables. Extensive product knowledge for selling and cross-selling; strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Proven ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling, outside business development, and building a referral network. Ability to interact with a variety of retail and commercial customers and clearly express concepts verbally and in writing. Required to have a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration within thirty days of hire. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs; availability to work all hours of operations. High school diploma required.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Supervisory or proven leadership experience required. Banking, cash handling, sales, and customer service experience or equivalent combination of at least two years of related experience. Strong consumer lending skills preferred with understanding of small business lending; ability to review financial statements and related information.
