Site Superintendents assist in F&B's success in both the office and the field. Site-Superintendents supervise and schedule all construction activities at local job sites, directing Foremen, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion, and upholding quality and safety requirements. The duties described below are representative of the role. Five Key Roles Of The Site-Superintendent
Communicate daily production goals to field teams and hold the Foremen accountable to achieve daily goals. Review, validate, and ensure Foremen complete daily timesheets, cost coding, and daily logs on all projects. Ensure field adherence to the scope of work; prevent unauthorized T&M or change orders without written client authorization and PM Team approval. Validate take-off quantities for accuracy and secure materials, manpower, and equipment according to the project schedule. Review project weekly financial performance with PM and General Superintendent to keep the budget on track. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple crews to meet production targets within the budget. Attend client project meetings and coordinate timing of change requests with the PM team. Ensure removal of equipment, forms, shoring, etc. from site to optimize usage and control costs. Apply F&B standard means and methods to achieve quality targets. Validate grades and evaluations for accuracy. Maintain a rolling 4-week look-ahead for manpower on all assigned projects. Maintain daily communication with PM on job progress and issues needing resolution. Perform pour card validation and ensure Miss Dig/811/One Call is completed for all projects. Monitor equipment utilization and drive optimization where feasible. Ensure all punch list items are completed. Communicate with owners and owners’ representatives regularly. Resolve conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claims. Instruct and enforce field staff on processes, policies, and procedures essential to the project. Ensure job clean-up and demobilization tasks are completed after work. Understand and apply the Company’s labor relations policies. Uphold the Company’s integrity and Code of Ethics, and ensure the same for the team. Other relevant tasks as assigned. Education, Experience & Qualifications
At least five (5) years in concrete or heavy civil construction. Creative and results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation. Excellent computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets. Excellent problem-solving skills with an adaptable and flexible style when working with all types of individuals. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate positively with team members. Travel
Travel is required for this position. Travel may include traveling from the office to various job sites. Fessler & Bowman will compensate for travel when applicable. Work Environment
Site-Superintendent role involves diverse work environments, including office and field settings, varying temperatures, proximity to traffic, noise, confined spaces, heights, and indoor/outdoor settings. Benefits
