Orlando Health is committed to being the best place to work. This description reflects the role and responsibilities for the Supply Chain Supervisor at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida. Responsibilities

Assesses inventory levels and reviews the case schedule to determine inventory refill requirements. Takes ownership of assignments; acts as the primary resource and support for the clinical colleagues in procedural/specialty areas. Coordinates and conducts annual or bi-annual physical inventories and monthly cycle counts as directed by the Supply Chain Operations Manager. Coordinates and documents all loaned or borrowed product to/from other departments or facilities. Ensures the process is followed for tissue tracking at the individual facility, market or organization, as applicable. Coordinates any product returns through vendors or the purchasing department, as needed. Supervises the activity and closure of recall notifications and ensures action is taken where necessary. Demonstrates understanding of the supply acquisition process and serves as a resource to Nursing Operations management for various departments. Mentors, coaches, and develops subordinates to accomplish department/facility goals. Reports discrepancies from primary distributors and communicates with distributors as needed. Utilizes basic accounting principles related to inventory control and prepares reports or assessments as directed. Ensures appropriate clinical systems are notified of item changes and additions; coordinates and monitors inventory and distribution. Prepares and maintains reports and records to ensure compliance; maintains equipment and vehicles for safe operations where applicable; ensures bin locations are accurate. Maintains sufficient supplies for all procedures, monitors inventory performance, and coordinates distribution to designated locations for safe and timely delivery. Institutes item review of expired and obsolete supplies and manages HR functions including hiring, timekeeping, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling. Reconciles monthly receipts and disbursements of inventory and meets with sales reps to resolve vendor-related issues. Manages procedural area vendors, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and credentials through the vendor credentialing system. Works with corporate for item adds/activations, contract issues, and Epic item integrity; physically receives product and verifies quantity received with packing slips. Serves as customer liaison for various department issues and collaborates with the Supply Chain Operations Manager to optimize efficiencies and implement improvements. Maintains cleanliness, bin locations, par levels, and overall accuracy of par areas; ensures appropriate staffing levels through scheduling, PTO approval, and new hires. Performs all aspects of the operational and automated procedures within the assigned department, including order processing, requisitioning, receiving, report production, and inventory accounting. Qualifications

Education/Training

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Strong verbal and communication skills. MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). An Associate’s degree substitutes for two years of relevant experience; a Bachelor's degree substitutes for four years. Licensure/Certification

None. Experience

Eight (8) years of experience in warehouse or inventory management. At least two (2) years of leadership experience preferred. Experience with heavy equipment (forklift, pallet jack, dock equipment) preferred. Job Details
