Responsible for the overall security of the property including but not limited to the enforcement of the law and Virginia Gaming rules and regulations, the physical safety of patrons and employees and the protection of patrons and company from illegal activity and shall immediately notify the Danville Police or similar authority of a person or persons possessing a firearm or any person who is engaging in or attempting to engage in cheating, theft, embezzlement or other illegal activities. Maintains working knowledge of all local jurisdictional gaming laws (federal, state, and local) and attendant regulations as well as company internal controls. Responsible for overall department budgets, profit and loss statements, cost analysis, game placement, labor analysis, planning and promotions. Analyzes employee metrics to optimize team and individual performance against department and financial objectives including collaboration with senior leaders (e.g., property, division, corporate) to determine effectiveness of goals. Reviews and recommends policy changes to the General Manager. Reviews and implements the departmental internal security. Reviews table games and slot performance and executes remedial action when necessary. Evaluates new equipment for purchase or lease and coordinates repairs, moves and installation with respective departments and state gaming authorities. Works with Information Technology to support technology installation, implementation and administration on property. Develops and recommends changes in the physical layout of casino floor. Develops and oversees that game utilization and occupancy metrics are used to devise an optimal schedule for staffing including the security and safety of the casino floor. Provides outstanding service when interacting with our guests. Sets performance expectations and provides coaching, career development planning and operational support for all direct reports. Meets individually with direct reports periodically to discuss career goals, identify skills needed to achieve goals and from those discussions, creates meaningful development plans to strengthen talent and expertise Acts as the property leader for our company’s Responsible Gaming program. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Qualifications

A minimum of four years of relevant gaming experience is required including managment of large teams. College Education or equivalent experience is preferred. Must have knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations for the Gaming Departments including safety and security. Extensive knowledge of Table Game Operations, Slot Operations and Performance, and Casino Security. Must possess excellent analytic, managerial, organizational and administrative skills including proven business, financial, budgetary and project management skills. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Ability to analyze problems and apply logical/cost effective solutions. Must have the ability to work in highly regulated environment and possess the ability to develop outstanding relationships with peers, senior management and regulators.

Physical, Mental And Environmental Demands

Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule. Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner. Must be able sit and stand for long periods of time. Able to lift 40 pounds. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
