Overview Join MV Transportation as a Fleet Maintenance Manager responsible for managing all day-to-day maintenance for a fixed route bus operation, ensuring contractual requirements are met and generating daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports. The role includes budgeting for the maintenance program.

Responsibilities Manage day-to-day maintenance activities for the fixed route bus operation. Ensure fulfillment of contractual requirements and prepare regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual). Properly manage the maintenance budget.

Qualifications Talent Requirements:

Must have a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience and at least ten (10) years of transit vehicle maintenance experience.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair methods, strong knowledge of diesel and electric vehicle systems, proficiency with maintenance management software.

Experience managing/directing 10+ employees (fleet Technicians/Service Workers/Cleaners).

Experience working with 50+ buses within the last year.

Previous passenger transportation in current project or similar environment preferred.

Ability to manage and interface with clients.

Ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.

Ability to prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.

Ability to manage the financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.

Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook.

Technical competence with light/medium/heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.

Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.

ASE or manufacturer certifications a plus.

Technical experience with fixed route transit and paratransit bus maintenance.

Solid knowledge of managing audits and PM schedules.

Experience with Diesel, CNG, and alternative fuels a plus.

CDL class B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
