Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); ensures post orders are followed, rounds are completed, required reports are filed, and notifies authorities and clients in emergencies. Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; meets with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions; seeks guidance from management as needed. Trains Security Officers and other personnel; reviews post orders and assignment details with subordinates. Assists in the submission of payroll and personnel information as designated. Ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions in conjunction with management or designated representatives. Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required. Inspects posts, outlines tasks and responsibilities with subordinates, and meets with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and to provide quality customer service. Performs supervisory duties per policy and applicable laws, which may include interviewing, orienting and training employees; planning, directing, and evaluating work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and making hiring/termination recommendations. May perform the duties of a Security Officer as assigned. Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred. Competencies: Knowledge of security operations with emphasis on patrol, inspection and response services; supervisory practices and procedures. Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance; maintain professional composure; courteous telephone manner. Ability to learn quickly and follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions; track and maintain schedule assignments; work well in a team; adapt to various sites and changes in post procedures. Ability to write routine logs and reports; strong organizational skills; strong customer service and results orientation; ability to interact with clients across diverse cultures. May be required to hold applicable state, county, and municipal licenses for Security Officers. Working Conditions

Potential exposure to stressful situations with unauthorized individuals. Background and reference checks, drug testing, behavioral assessments, and mandatory licensing as required. Overtime may be required without advance notice; ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently; basic computer usage; physical demands including sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
