Position Summary We’re currently looking for a Senior Analyst, US Tax Compliance to join our team in Nashville, TN. This role will be responsible for the preparation and review of US Federal and state tax returns, including the calculation of supporting book-to-tax adjustments (schedule M’s), estimated payments and extensions, lead federal and state tax special projects, and carry out various tax research assignments. This role will support tax in dealing with matters associated with US tax return filing positions and compliance with related information requests. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced tax professional with a solid track record of federal and state tax filings, modeling, and process improvement.
*** This role is a HYBRID position in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday @ Bridgestone HQ in Nashville, TN. ***
Responsibilities
Prepare and review US Federal consolidated and separate legal entity pro forma tax returns including quarterly estimates, extensions and amended tax return filings
Serve as subject matter experts on various tax calculations presented within the US consolidated tax return
Prepare state and local income and franchise tax returns
Perform special tax research projects such as understanding the implications associated with changes in tax law
Prepare reconciliation of adjustments with explanation from booked provision to filed tax returns
Team with Tax Risk function to clarify positions taken within the tax return and prepare responses to examiner requests for information
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS is in Finance or Accounting, Economics or similar
CPA, MST or MBA preferred
Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in public accounting or a large multinational corporation
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and preferred knowledge with Power BI and Alteryx
Prefer working knowledge of OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Income Provision, SAP and SAP SAC
