$34.00/hr - $46.00/hr What you’ll do
Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, and analyzing economic trends and community needs. Model, enforce, and provide direction to Associates on customer service approaches to ensure member/customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within company guidelines and standards. Oversee community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as active community members. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations; monitor asset protection, safety, and quality assurance; develop and implement action plans to improve performance; guide execution of company programs and strategic initiatives; and direct Vision Center staff while maintaining confidentiality of information and records. Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing contributions, and fostering a sense of belonging. Ensure provision of quality eyewear by consulting with Members/Customers, educating on products, taking measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment. Uphold the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, researching issues, reviewing policies, and proposing resolutions. Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans, identifying goals, and promoting accountability and continuous learning. Promote a working environment that respects individuals and fosters a culture of belonging, collaboration, and integrity; attract and develop talent and recognize contributions. Serve Our Customers and Members by delivering results with the customer in mind and applying Walmart’s EDLP/EDLC models where relevant. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of 2+ years of college or 1 year of retail experience with 1 year of supervisory experience or 2 years of general work experience including 1 year of optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules. Preferred Qualifications
