Job Title: 3M Logistics Cost of Quality Leader Collaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. Responsibilities
Serve as global subject matter expert and cross-functional point of contact (global logistics, sourcing, packaging, enterprise customer operations, etc.) Track carrier claims to ensure reimbursements as required Track carrier quality performance and provide insight to support business partner management and influence carrier prioritization and award selection Develop and report on logistics quality KPI metrics in accordance with the Global Logistics performance strategy and operating rhythm Standardize how we track and archive logistics quality events globally Responsible for tracking logistics quality KPIs (DPPM, Unplanned Deductions, Carrier Claims, Scrap, etc.) Leverage the EIMS/RDR/Compliance Request systems as necessary to manage defect performance Manage quality standards and metrics across the Global Logistics organization (with 3M Quality Team) – Claims/Returns management and Damage and Discrepancies Drive a proactive and preventative approach to global logistics quality Align with packaging/engineering/procurement to identify opportunities to augment packaging standards for international shipments, reducing damage and increasing loading efficiency Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Seven (7) years of experience in Quality, Supply Chain, Lean-Six Sigma, Logistics or Manufacturing Operations in relevant environments Additional qualifications that could help include: Understanding of international and domestic transportation processes and policies Knowledge of distribution site operations Proven experience leading cross-functional improvements Strong verbal & written communication, teamwork, leadership, adaptability, problem solving, critical thinking Work location
In-office at least 4 days a week. Location: Maplewood, MN Travel
May include up to 10% domestic/international travel Relocation
