Job Summary Under the direction of the Director, Resiliency Operations, the Resiliency Program Manager serves as the Enterprise Services Supply Chain liaison to all Mass General Brigham institutions and the supplier community. This is a very high‑visibility position responsible for managing all product interruption responses, providing data and analysis to support sound decision‑making on product selection, service levels, and practice issues. Responsibilities include managing the Mass General Brigham pandemic supply and proactive measures to minimize impacts of supply disruptions, collaborating with Emergency Preparedness and clinical leadership, and forming strong relationships with key suppliers.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration or related field of study required.
Experience: 3‑5 years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a hospital or healthcare setting; 2‑3 years managing contracts and vendor relationships preferred; Tableau visualization and presentation experience preferred.
Lead Resiliency Response
Develop upstream visibility of potential product interruptions from suppliers.
Anticipate and mitigate product interruptions through strategy development, such as leveraging pandemic supply as backup.
Mitigate impact of supply disruptions via internal communications, collaboration with Emergency Preparedness, supplier management, and identification of alternative products/services.
Develop standard operating procedures for disruptions, including dashboards to monitor each occurrence.
In collaboration with internal or external resources, lead the development of: Visualization tools to manage hospital inventory levels.
Visibility into Mass General Brigham’s supplier inventory balances and upstream product availability.
Proactively manage future supply disruptions through cross‑system collaboration to ensure awareness and potential product alternatives are identified.
Identify areas for data improvement and work collaboratively with peers to correct.
Works closely with the Pandemic Supply Manager and serves as backup: Approve/process all requests for products from the pandemic supply.
Track all distributed product and expense out to departments on a timely basis.
Develop partnerships with key suppliers to ensure proactive notice for any supply interruptions.
Constantly evaluate and analyze the external supply chain to provide early warning of any potential disruptions.
Proactively anticipate trends in seasonality to prepare for possible patient surges.
Actively participate in health care organizations to learn from others’ success, apply lessons learned, and share best practices.
Develop a geographic playbook by learning key supplier manufacturing locations and raw material sources to help anticipate potential disruptions.
Determine a standardized approach toward product disruptions with rehearsed scenarios and communication protocols.
Serve as backup approver for all pandemic supply requests.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
