Overview
Senior Associate - Performance Strategy & Analytics at Astrana Health. The Senior Associate, Performance Strategy & Analytics is responsible for owning the development and maintenance of forecasting models that drive organizational success under all payer value-based contracts. This role combines advanced analytics with program execution, ensuring incentive revenue is tracked, projected, and captured while supporting provider partnerships and performance improvement. Strategy and Operations Responsibilities
Forecasting Ownership Build and maintain forecasting models to project incentive revenue across contracts (MA, Medi-Cal, ACO, Exchange, Commercial). Provide regular forecast updates to leadership and Finance, highlighting risks and opportunities. Ensure reconciliation of forecasted vs. actual results with Finance. Analytics & Reporting Create dashboards and reports that track performance across Stars, HEDIS, CAHPS, utilization, and cost of care. Deliver actionable insights to executives and provider partners. Support Finance and leadership with variance analysis between forecasts and actuals. Provider Incentives & Scorecards Develop provider-facing scorecards and benchmarks tied to incentive programs. Partner with Provider Relations to distribute reporting packages that drive provider accountability. Track provider incentive payments and alignment to payer contracts. Program Support Provide analytic support for provider-facing initiatives (e.g., Annual Wellness Visits, gap closure, post-discharge follow-ups). Assist in ROI modeling for new programs. Ensure timely delivery of incentive and performance data for enterprise initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Finance, Quality, Pop Health, and Care Management teams to align forecasts with operational and financial strategies. Present insights and forecasts to executive and provider audiences in clear, actionable terms. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Public Health, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, forecasting, or incentive modeling. Strong skills in Excel (financial modeling), SQL, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker). Knowledge of value-based care, Stars, HEDIS, CAHPS, and provider incentives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Environmental & Working Conditions
Our organization follows either a remote or hybrid work structure (depending on proximity to our offices) where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis.
