We are providing supplemental engineering services, including project management and construction management, including commissioning oversight and support for a large wastewater infrastructure capital improvement program in Orange County, California. We are looking for a Project Manager to lead design and construction management teams for successful delivery of complex wastewater treatment plant and conveyance construction projects. As a

Project Manager , we need you to have ability to perform project management functions for major capital projects including developing schedules, cost estimates and staffing requirements; assemble and lead project teams; plan, direct, and coordinate activities of projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished on schedule and within prescribed budget; manages the selection of outside consultants; and prepare and presents reports and other necessary correspondence on assigned projects. You will manage a project or group of projects through all six phases of the Capital Project Management Life Cycle, including project development, preliminary design, construction and installation, commission, and closeout. You will manage, direct, and coordinate activities of the project team to ensures project progresses on schedule within prescribed budget, and with acceptable quality; confer with project team to provide technical advice and resolve problems; conduct project team meetings to ensure adequate communication of project status. Your duties include preparing project reports for management, and others, including presentations as necessary. You will manage the selection of outside consultants; oversee the bid, proposal, and selection/purchase recommendation process for major capital projects; solicit and review proposals; select consultants; establish schedules and performance criteria. You will apply project management tools as required to address the financial aspects and impacts of project variables such as delays to the project schedule. You will be the liaison for the project management division with other Owner departments, divisions, and outside agencies. We will rely on you to plan, schedule, assign, and oversee activities of assigned personnel; oversee staff and resources on projects; resolve conflict through workable solutions and alternative approaches; inspect the work of others and maintain established quality control standards; manage complex capital improvement projects, analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives, make sound recommendations, and prepare effective technical staff reports; develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards for the assigned projects; identify problems, research and analyze relevant information, develop and present recommendations and justification for solution; analyze, interpret, summarize, and present administrative and technical information and data in an effective manner; prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, policies, procedures, and other written materials. Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering 10+ years of increasingly responsible experience managing capital projects Proven experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager or Construction Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship Proven knowledge of Advanced modern and complex principles and practices of project and/or program management, analytical processes, and report preparation techniques Possession of a Project Management Professional certificate is highly desirable Benefits
