Contribute to the overall success of the camp by providing leadership and support to the summer staff. Create an immersive and inclusive environment through off-site activities, support camper experiences, and help build a positive camp culture. Serve as the face of camp during drop-off and pick-up, maintain parent and staff communications, and ensure safety and organizational effectiveness across camp operations. Provide enthusiastic and inspiring leadership to summer staff, ensuring a supportive, safe, and exciting atmosphere for campers. Attend orientations and contribute to campsite outlines, group formulations, and staff assignments. Assist in campsite preparation, staff training, and general housekeeping tasks. Produce weekly reports on missing payments and documents from families before attending camp. Act as the camp face at drop-off/pick-up and support front-desk parent questions. Support in registering new families week by week. Process payments, forms, and consents brought in; enroll campers on-site if needed. Coordinate daily communications with parents about camp topics alongside the Camp Director. Maintain camp family files, medical and trip consent documents, and organized binders. Assist with inventory, budget updates, and procurement of office supplies. Collaborate with Programming and Off-Site Directors on special event logistics and field trip information. Be available to address parent questions, concerns, and feedback. Support in daily drop-off/pick-up operations to ensure a smooth experience for families. What We Are Looking For

Kids in the Game seeks enthusiastic Assistant Directors across multiple NYC locations. As the right-hand to the Camp Director, you will help create an amazing camp culture, oversee summer staff, mentor campers, and foster a supportive, safe, and fun environment. Experience as a supervisor for youth development programs or educators in public/private settings (2+ years). Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with families and staff across channels (Slack, Email, Text, Google Calendar). Ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues, participants, parents, and caregivers. Commit to part-time/remote work during the school year for camp planning and eight weeks of full-time summer operations. Attend mandatory core trainings and all-staff team-building activities before and during the camp season. Pre-Summer & Summer Work Schedule

Phased schedule: Pre-Summer (late March–April, 8–10 hours/week) with bi-weekly leadership meetings; May–June (10–20 hours/week) with ongoing team check-ins; full-time June 14–August 22, 2025 when camps run for 7–8 weeks depending on location. Locations: Inwood, Riverdale, Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Yorkville, East Village, Park Slope, Greenpoint, West Village, Fort Greene (list of addresses available in original posting). Compensation

This is a part-time, seasonal role with pre-summer stipends and summer salaries based on weeks and location. Pre-Summer Compensation: monthly stipends from $150–$450 per month; total around $800–$900 depending on start date and hours; May include training bonuses. Summer Compensation: biweekly salary payments; typical range $800–$900 per week for 7–8 weeks; total salary depends on weeks worked; bonuses available based on enrollment and performance. Locations
