Responsibilities
Process and ship customer samples as required, following written procedures.
Assist manufacturing during sample production and be at press while samples are produced, looking for obvious format, functionality, print and finishing quality issues.
Spot‑check samples to ensure timely awareness of questionable product concerns.
Verify print and/or copy, visually checking the printed roll sheet against the digital blue line for copy, IDs, layout and color.
Audit finishing, randomly checking live production or QC documents in accordance with customer requirements, Quad/Graphics specifications, general mail specification and job instruction.
Maintain quality control records in support of press and finishing production.
Complete data entry and paperwork in accordance with department practices and procedures.
Relay quality concerns to press/finishing operator, supervisors, management and customer service representative as warranted.
Marginal Functions of the Job
Move trays and/or cartons up to 45 lbs.
Visually and physically inspect and test product functionality.
Sit, stand, or walk for 12 hours, 4–6 days per week with overtime as production requires.
Communicate with others and give directions.
Use a pallet jack, tape gun, scissors, utility knife, trimmer, water stick, ruler, letter opener, glue stick, postal template, micrometer and densitometer.
Use a computer and copier.
Work Schedule
11 PM – 7 AM
