The organization works in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities to empower communities toward a safer and more dignified future. The Family Stabilization Services (FSS) Specialist will address barriers to safety, health and wellness for particularly vulnerable refugees, asylees, and other ORR-eligible populations. The goals are to enhance refugee family stability, support health, resilience and access to culturally appropriate, multigenerational services. The FSS team collaborates with other programs to intervene along a continuum of strategies and provide mental health training to increase trauma-informed capacity among agency staff. Major Responsibilities

Determine client eligibility for FSS programming and conduct intake assessments. Develop individualized, SMART self-sufficiency plans for each client enrolled in the program. Evaluate client progress at defined intervals and identify new needs and actions to support goals. Assist clients in navigating community health, housing and other service systems, including benefits applications and appointment scheduling. Conduct community outreach and maintain a network of service providers; foster relationships with local and state refugee coordinators and health coordinators as needed. Provide extended orientation on topics such as transportation and local health systems. Respond to client crises with supervisory guidance as needed. Assist clients with requesting financial assistance and document it in case files. Maintain up-to-date documentation in client files and in IRC databases (ETO, CRSP) for reporting purposes, in collaboration with colleagues and managers. Attend relevant CRSP trainings and meetings; may train/lead volunteers and interns; may support mental health training to promote trauma-informed approaches. Other duties as assigned, including front desk support or collaboration with other direct service teams. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field strongly preferred. Work Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of case management experience with similar populations required. Skills & Competencies: Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking; ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment; problem-solving and time-management; attention to detail; English fluency; proficiency with Microsoft Office; valid driver’s license and access to a personal insured vehicle. Working Environment

Combination of standard office, remote work, and field time within the service delivery area. May require occasional weekend, early morning and/or evening work. Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range:

$27.00-$28.00
