The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Determine client eligibility for Intensive Case Management (ICM) programming and conduct intake assessments, review program expectations, outcomes, and confidentiality with each potential client. Develop individualized, SMART self-sufficiency plans for each client enrolled in the ICM program. Evaluate client progress every six months during active program enrollment to assess progress toward goals and identify new needs and actions. Assist clients in navigating healthcare and social service systems, including helping clients apply for benefits and scheduling appointments. Conduct community outreach and maintain a network of service providers to meet client needs; maintain relationships with local and state refugee coordinators and health coordinators as needed. Provide clients with orientation on topics such as women’s health, transportation navigation, and local healthcare systems. Respond to client crises with guidance from a supervisor. Assist clients with requesting financial assistance and track received funds within case files. Maintain up-to-date documentation in the client’s case file and document all services in IRC’s database (Efforts to Outcomes, ETO). Attend relevant trainings and meetings at local and national levels. May train and lead volunteers and interns; perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field preferred. Work Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of case management experience with similar populations and/or client needs required. Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:
Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment; self-starter with problem-solving abilities; attention to detail; fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in additional languages spoken by client groups (e.g., Dari/Pashto) preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic digital tools; valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle. Working Environment
Combination of standard office environment, remote work, and field time within the service delivery area. Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required. Compensation
Pay range: $29.10 - $30.00 per hour. Posted ranges apply to US-based candidates. Offers are calibrated by work location, candidate experience, and skills relative to requirements. Additional Information
