Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead and oversee the Quality Assurance (QA) department. This role is responsible for directing and supervising QA operations, implementing quality policies and procedures, and ensuring products consistently meet specifications and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with analytical problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with production and processing teams to maintain and improve product quality while ensuring adherence to specifications and standard operating procedures. Assist with the evaluation and disposition of any materials or products that are out of specification. Conduct audits to verify compliance with manufacturing, warehousing, sanitation, and quality-related policies and procedures. Monitor, document, and take appropriate action to meet all quality plan and prerequisite program requirements. Identify and report quality or compliance issues to management promptly. Leadership & Department Management
Lead, train, and develop a team of QA lab technicians, ensuring proper safety procedures and testing protocols are followed. Oversee product analysis activities and ensure accurate, timely reporting. Maintain and ensure the proper functionality of lab and testing equipment. Participate in hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for QA staff as part of the management team. Product Evaluations & Audits
Coordinate and assist with product evaluations, cuttings, and presentations. Actively participate in plant tours and internal or external audits. Serve as a backup for QA Technician responsibilities when needed. Education & Experience
Professional certifications in quality, sanitation, or process improvement are highly valued but not required. Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience in a manufacturing, quality assurance, or sanitation environment. Strong computer skills required; troubleshooting experience with lab equipment is a plus. Seniority level
