BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented
Associate Drainage Engineer
to join our team! In this role you will get to In this role you will perform drainage and stormwater design calculations under the supervision of a licensed engineer, create plans for FDOT and other clients, manage assigned tasks, support ERP coordination, contribute to project delivery and internal communication, and take an active role in professional development. What You\'ll Be Doing
Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, perform drainage and stormwater calculations for ditches, storm drain systems, culverts and stormwater management facilities. Duties may include spread calculations, storm drain tabulations, open channel flow calculations, culvert analysis and stormwater management facility design Create plans for FDOT and other clients Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer; May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required on assigned tasks Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties Work with internal and external sources on Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP) of projects Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 1-3 years experience Preferred Qualifications
Fundamentals of Engineering (EI) certification Security Clearance Requirement
