What You’ll Be Doing As a valuable part of our

Transportation and Roadway Design , an

Entry Level Staff Engineer

will support a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with responsibilities such as: Assist in the design of roadway infrastructure including alignments, grading, drainage, and traffic control Prepare engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates Support senior engineers in meeting project goals and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal standards Assist with drainage modeling, traffic control planning, and design documentation Perform site visits to collect field data and support construction activities Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation) to prepare and revise design plans Help review contractor submittals, RFIs, and support construction administration tasks Coordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and regulatory agencies during design and permitting What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Passed your FE Exam and obtained your EIT certification, or planning to by June 2026 Strong interest in roadway and transportation design Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Basic knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, or state DOT standards Effective communication and organizational skills Willingness to learn, collaborate, and take initiative in a team environment Preferred Requirements Master's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering Experience or coursework related to corridor modeling in Civil 3D Exposure to fieldwork, including inspections or data collection Understanding of common project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, etc.) Interest in obtaining a PE license and engaging in professional development Your Financial And Wellness Benefits Compensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range below The annual salary for a Staff Engineer 1 in Transportation is set at $77,376 for a candidate graduating with a Bachelor's degree in 2026 The annual salary for a Staff Engineer 1 in Transportation is set at $81,536 for a candidate graduating with a Master's degree or PhD in 2026 Annual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan Best in Class Medical Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance Wellness Rewards and Reimbursements Tuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown Contributions Reimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and Fees Summer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work Environment Pet Insurance and Adoption Assistance More Information About Tighe & Bond
