The Program Quality Engineer is responsible for Quality function leadership on one or more strategic production programs. This includes daily production quality activities and personnel management, as well as supporting strategic growth by engaging with customers, developing and deploying processes for new products, analyzing performance trends, and driving fundamental quality improvements within the program. The engineer collaborates with Program, Operations, and Engineering leaders to ensure contractual commitments are met and quality objectives are achieved and continually improved. The Program Quality Engineer is the main point of contact for all Quality activities within the assigned program. Primary responsibilities

Identify, define, and coordinate key quality efforts needed to support the assigned program. Mentor and develop direct reports in quality processes and production methods. Coordinate and negotiate changes in quality requirements with customers. Regularly communicate status of technical activities within the program team and to executive leadership as needed. Lead failure analysis investigations and root-cause analysis on product quality and process issues to expedite return to operation and prevent recurrence. Perform DMAIC studies and DoE implementations to identify driving factors affecting product characteristics and implement controls to improve process capability. Ensure measurement systems are reliable, repeatable, and calibrated. Analyze production performance metrics to identify key parameters and potential improvement and risk areas. Drive down scrap rates and improve product yields. Reduce product characteristic variability and improve process capabilities (Cpk/Ppk). Create product inspection plans and data capture/analysis systems for real-time product compliance visibility. Review and audit production procedures for adequacy. Collect, monitor, and improve Cost of Poor Quality data and provide strategic vision for program improvements. Interpret contractual quality requirements and ensure visibility and compliance. Review lot shipment paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Interface with internal and external customers on technical issues. Maintain high ethical standards and adhere to Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies. Education & experience

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Manufacturing ASQ certifications (CQE) and/or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred Strong leadership and team facilitation skills 5+ years of quality experience in a production environment, including statistical process controls Experience leading failure analyses and root cause analysis in manufacturing Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 requirements Knowledge of quality and lean methods for process flow control Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to use statistical tools Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Dependable, responsible, detail-oriented, and effective with people Self-directed with ability to prioritize and take initiative Authorized to work in the U.S. Eligible for required U.S. Government export control authorizations Armtec competencies
