Job Summary:
The Senior Product Compliance Engineer partners with the Global Product Compliance team to certify products and ensure adherence to environmental and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Director of Operations, Compliance, this role supports product design evaluations, certification processes, and documentation across multiple product lines. You’ll make an impact by ensuring products meet environmental and safety standards, maintaining regulatory approvals, and supporting compliance throughout the design and manufacturing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure product designs comply with all relevant
regulatory and environmental standards , including certification and ongoing testing.
Maintain and manage regulatory approvals while resolving compliance issues in collaboration with design and manufacturing engineering.
Review and evaluate
Bills of Materials (BOMs)
for product and component environmental compliance.
Draft and maintain environmental attestations for major regulations such as
RoHS, REACH, EPA TSCA, PFAS, and POP .
Coordinate documentation and sample requirements with engineering teams to ensure timely certification processing.
Compile and analyze test data to define process or material specifications.
Support environmental compliance across multiple product lines.
Travel up to 5% domestically (rare for contractors).
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering or Environmental Science (or equivalent experience).
Minimum
3 years of related product or environmental compliance experience .
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply compliance regulations across product development.
Required Skills
Environmental product compliance
(RoHS, REACH, CE)
Data analysis and documentation accuracy
Cross-functional collaboration and communication
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of
Agile, Oracle, and/or SAP
systems
Python coding
or automation experience
Familiarity with global product certification and regulatory frameworks
Additional Skills
Strong attention to detail
Organizational and analytical problem-solving
Ability to work in fast-paced, hybrid environments
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Must be able to remain seated or stationary approximately 40% of the time.
Frequent use of computer systems and standard office equipment.
