Identify actions necessary to achieve task completion and to obtain results, meet schedules, deadlines, and performance goals. Prioritize and complete tasks in order to deliver desired outcomes within allotted time frames. Initiate and sustain momentum without external stimulation Establish a process for activities that lead to the implementation of systems, procedures or outcomes. Identify long range goals and design plans to attain them while evaluating future implications of current decisions and actions. The Controls Engineer will
Design, develop, test, and debug control system architecture, including PLC logic, HMI interfaces, servo drives, VFDs, and safety systems. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate controls into new equipment and upgrades. Create Sequence of Operations, Timing Charts, Programs, Parameter Lists, Instructions Develop defect free designs according to Safety and Environmental Regulations within time and budgetary guidelines. Diagnose and resolve equipment and software issues in production and field environments. Ensure control systems meet industry standards (UL, NFPA, OSHA, IEC, etc.) and company requirements. Implement system improvements for performance, reliability, and safety. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 2 years experience as a Controls or Automation Engineer, all other qualifications may be gained concurrently with this requirement. Minimum 2 years experience in on-site troubleshooting of PLC devices Minimum 2 years experience in Automation programming / coordination between PLC devices Minimum 2 years experience with a combination of the following PLC Brands: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron Minimum 2 years experience with Servo Motors (Yaskawa) or Industrial Servo Robots (Motoman, Sepro or Fanuc) Experience working independently, as well as working in a team-orientated and fast-paced startup-like environment. Obtain and Maintain a Valid Driver License Ability to travel up to 50% Seniority level
