Overview

Ellsworth Adhesives, a global distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, has a Field Service Engineer opportunity in the Ellsworth Dispensing Solutions (EDS) Division. The ideal candidate will be based in the Reno, NV area; highly qualified candidates can also be based in the Midwest (preferably Milwaukee or Chicago). The role may be filled at Associate or Senior level depending on experience. Provides on-site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modification and installation of equipment with varying degrees of complexity for national and international customers. Integrates equipment with customer and/or third-party vendors as needed. Maintains equipment documentation for internal assembly, testing, setup and troubleshooting. Provides start-up service and customer training during installations. Responsibilities

Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, overhaul, or refurbishes standard and system components at customer locations. Senior level candidates may also handle special purpose equipment. Conducts after-sales technical support and machine maintenance training to customers. Completes documentation related to the status of machine issues, repairs, and/or installations to ensure timely billing. Communicates with customers to schedule installation, repair and/or preventive maintenance work and estimated time of arrival for unscheduled work. Responds to routine customer and sales questions regarding equipment operation and performance. Perks & Benefits

3+ years of direct work experience (Senior Level) or 0+ years (Associate Level). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong customer service skills and ability to manage difficult customer situations. Respond promptly to customer needs and solicit feedback to improve service. Continuous training and development opportunities; Senior Level requires in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry, latest technologies, and company product lines. Observes safety and security procedures. Frequent travel – 25-50% domestic and occasional international. Ability to lift 75 lbs., with frequent bending and safe lifting.
