Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a Field Service Engineer opportunity at Ellsworth Adhesives. This role reports into our Ellsworth Dispensing Solutions (EDS) Division. The ideal candidate will be based either in the Midwest, (preferably Milwaukee or Chicago areas) or Sparks, NV and can be remote for senior level candidates. (The hiring team is open to hiring at an Associate or Senior level, depending on experience and expertise level).

Provides on-site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modification and installation of equipment with varying degrees of complexity for national and international customers. Integrates equipment with customer and / or third-party vendors as needed. Maintains equipment documentation for internal assembly, testing, set-up and troubleshooting. Provides start-up service and customer training during installations.

Responsibilities

Installs, troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish standard and system components at Customer locations. Sr Level candidates will also handle special purpose equipment.

Conducts after-sales technical support and machine maintenance training to customers

Completes documentation related to the status of the machine issues, repairs, and / or installations to ensure timely billing

Communicates with Customers to schedule installation, repair and / or preventive maintenance work and estimated time of arrival for unscheduled work

Responds to routine Customer and sales questions regarding equipment operation and performance

Qualifications

3 + Years of direct work experience (Sr Level), 0+ Years of direct work experience (Associate Level)

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in Engineering or related field, other combinations of education and experience may be considered

Strong Customer Service Skills

Ability to manages difficult or emotional customer situations

Respond promptly to customer needs and solicit customer feedback to improve service

Continuously pursues training and development opportunities. Sr Level Field Service Engineers will also have an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry, latest technologies and company product lines

Observes safety and security procedures

Frequent travel – 25-50% domestic and occasional international

The ability to lift 75 lbs., frequently bending and lifting safely
