Engineering Project Manager

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 depending on experience, with bonus opportunity. This Is How You WOW Perform Project Management responsibilities on NPD projects as assigned, coordinating with team members to assure project success from the New Product Development Team assignment through production of the final model variations, including closing the Project File and documenting all “Lessons Learned” activities. Ensure correct use of applicable New Product Development tools, including QFD activities, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), DFMA (Design for Manufacturability), and testing. Balance the requirements of Marketing (Business viewpoint), Engineering (Technical viewpoint), and Industrial Design (Customer viewpoint), resolving conflicts when required. Manage the project schedule, project cost, and project specifications to optimize production of the right product, at the right time, for the right price. Work closely with team members across disciplines on the New Product Development teams, conduct regular team meetings, and report progress to management. Provide project management assistance to other small projects as assigned. Assist with evaluating department staff and resources in collaboration with the NPD teams. Assist with evaluating and improving related department processes to drive continuous improvement, and monitor engineering processes across the organization. It would be WOW if you would bring this in: Bachelor of Science – Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent; additional coursework in Project Management and problem-solving techniques is preferred. Four or more years of experience managing technical projects and complex activities in engineering or technical operations, including at least two years as a Project Manager. Ability to conduct team meetings, facilitate discussions, coordinate activities, and assign tasks. Ability to identify project risks and provide leadership to resolve issues. Skilled at making public presentations and creating concise written reports. General technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures. Ability to build and lead a highly effective team; foster trust across all levels of the organization. Proficiency with Project Management Body of Knowledge tools; collaboration with cross-functional teams; independent and creative problem-solving. Drive to complete assignments with internal resolve; flexible, adaptable, and resourceful.
