Associate or Manager, Project Execution Engineer at DESRI. This role involves supporting the Engineering team by managing project engineering design including civil, structural, geotechnical, and electrical scopes. You will collaborate with the Preconstruction, Procurement, and Construction teams as projects mature from preliminary early-stage designs to issue-for-construction (IFC). You will be a key member of the preconstruction design and execution team, responsible for technical and engineering project scopes, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) technical coordination. You will also be responsible for project design optimization and leading coordination of project technical challenges with internal and external subject matter experts. What You’ll Do

DESRI is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join its team as a Project Execution Engineering Associate or Manager, with the title commensurate with experience. The role provides the opportunity to participate in the technical coordination, including EPC of renewable energy assets, in an inclusive and engaging work environment. As a member of the engineering team, you will influence the design and electrical compliance of assets and the firm’s portfolio. You will work with a growing team of engineers in a dynamic, agile organization, contributing to the success of renewable energy projects and the transition to a sustainable future. Responsibilities

Support engineering design across civil, structural, geotechnical, and electrical scopes for renewable energy projects. Collaborate with Preconstruction, Procurement, and Construction teams to move projects from early designs to IFC. Provide technical and EPC coordination, design optimization, and resolution of technical challenges with internal and external SMEs. Contribute to electrical compliance and project optimization for portfolio assets. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Four to seven years of experience with a strong focus on project execution; preference for utility-scale renewable energy experience (solar, wind, or battery storage) with emphasis on PV, BESS, and layout design and optimization. Strong understanding of related disciplines, excellent oral and written communication, organizational skills, ability to multi-task on several projects in a fast-paced environment, interpersonal and leadership abilities. Advanced understanding of renewable project constructability, electrical system optimization (inverter capacity, capacitor banks, DC/AC/POI optimization), coordination and understanding of basis electrical studies (e.g., reactive power, ampacity), and deep knowledge of electrical components and configurations. Interest in and experience with renewable energy projects in the United States; solar experience is strongly preferred. Seniority level
