The role involves managing conveyor technology projects in the automotive sector, including body shell construction, paint shops, and final assembly. Responsibilities cover all phases from concept and detailed planning to tender preparation and award processes, through to implementation support for greenfield and brownfield projects. Responsibilities

Carry out conveyor technology projects in the automotive sector, particularly in body shell construction, paint shops, and final assembly. Involve in all phases from concept and detailed planning to the preparation of tender documents and the award process, through to implementation support for greenfield and brownfield projects. Analyze existing processes and optimize manufacturing procedures; develop conversion or restructuring concepts, create layouts, and plan restructuring steps for brownfield projects (including a catalog of measures). Calculate and evaluate plans for conveyor technology, including investment requirements, and support customers in investment decisions by preparing decision templates. Plan conveyor systems in detail with regard to mechanical and control engineering design; draw up the corresponding system specifications and requirements specifications for market inquiries. Check offers for plausibility, technical completeness, and comparability; support the procurement process by making recommendations for awarding conveyor technology systems. Take responsibility for project management throughout the planning and procurement process and coordinate project support during construction, plant installation, commissioning, and final acceptance, including schedule tracking, cost control, and documentation. Coordinate continuously with neighboring trades, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth cooperation throughout the project. Qualifications

Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, automation technology, or comparable training. Relevant professional experience in the automotive sector with exposure to planning, implementation, and commissioning of conveyor and automation technology. In-depth knowledge of mechanics and design, electrical engineering and control technology, and ideally layout planning. Excellent conceptual, methodological, and analytical skills; able to work independently and in a structured, solution-oriented manner; take initiative. Proficiency in CAD layout programs (e.g., MicroStation, TriCad, LuArtX) and MS Office. Fluent in English; willingness to collaborate across teams and externally with suppliers and customers.
