The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a manufacturing plant, including production, quality control, safety, maintenance, and personnel, ensuring efficient operations, meeting production targets, and maintaining compliance with industry standards while leading a team of department heads and staff, all while strategizing for continuous improvement and cost optimization; key duties include setting production goals, managing budgets, implementing quality control measures, coordinating with supply chain, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production runs smoothly and meets established timelines and quality standards. Develop and execute production plans, manage inventory levels, and optimize production schedules to meet customer demands. Implement and maintain robust quality control systems to ensure product quality and minimize defects. Monitor and manage production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource utilization. Lead and develop a team of department heads including maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, and production supervisors. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the plant. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and reduce waste. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability. Maintain compliance with all applicable industry regulations and standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: 10-15 years of manufacturing leadership experience – preferably in stamping Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production techniques, and quality control methodologies. Preferably in the stamping industry Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, build consensus, and create a positive work environment. Capability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve long-term business objectives. Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions. Understanding of financial statements and budgeting principles to manage costs effectively. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders including senior management, employees, and external vendors. Seniority level
