The Manager of Electrical Engineering leads a high‑performing electrical engineering team that designs, validates, and supports mission‑critical electrical power distribution products such as Remote Power Panels (RPPs), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and related components for data center applications. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost‑effective electrical solutions that meet customer and industry standards. Responsibilities
Oversee the design and development of low‑voltage and medium‑voltage electrical power distribution equipment including RPPs, PDUs, circuit breaker panels, and monitoring systems. Ensure designs comply with UL, NEC, and other relevant electrical codes and standards. Review and approve electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and test documentation. Partner with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to align design intent with manufacturability, quality, and cost targets. Drive the execution of engineering deliverables from concept through production release using structured stage‑gate processes. Coordinate with Program Management and Operations to meet schedule, cost, and performance objectives. Implement and manage engineering change orders (ECOs), ensuring proper documentation and configuration control. Serve as the primary technical authority on electrical system architecture and design validation. Collaborate closely with Product Management and Sales on customer requirements, specifications, and design proposals. Support manufacturing and field service teams with root‑cause analysis and resolution of electrical issues. Lead, mentor, and coach a team of electrical engineers and designers in developing new products and supporting existing lines. Establish performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Manage workload assignments and prioritize engineering resources across multiple concurrent projects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master’s degree preferred. 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in product design and development, preferably within electrical manufacturing or data center power industry. 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing engineering teams. Strong background in low‑voltage AC/DC systems, power distribution, and circuit protection. Familiarity with UL 60950, UL 891, UL 67, or similar standards. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent CAD tools. Working knowledge of PLCs, monitoring systems, and communication protocols (Modbus, SNMP, etc.) is a plus. Benefits
