Now Hiring! CITY ENGINEER. This recruitment will remain open until filled, with a first review date of October 16, 2025. To be considered in the first review, applications must be received prior to this date. The City Engineer is a key leadership position within the Public Works Department responsible for managing staff, overseeing capital improvement projects, and providing expert civil engineering guidance to ensure planning, design, construction, and maintenance of city infrastructure meet regulatory, safety, and operational standards. Working under the managerial direction of the Public Works Director, the City Engineer supervises personnel; prepares and administers budgets and grants; provides technical engineering guidance on development projects; manages contracts and field inspections; and leads the development and implementation of long-range infrastructure plans and engineering standards. The position also represents the City in public meetings, ensures regulatory compliance, and continuously evaluates opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, safety, and sustainability.
