Job Summary And Qualifications Under the general direction of the Facilities Management Director, the operating Stationary Engineer is responsible for a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, plumbing, carpentry and heating/air conditioning tasks to include installing and repairing equipment and maintaining buildings and grounds, as assigned.

What you will do in this role:

You will perform service and preventive maintenance on all boilers, chillers, emergency generators, pumps, control valves and auxiliary machinery, in a prompt manner

You will submit estimates of material and labor needed for each project and oversee the upgrading of stock

You will operate boilers, auxiliary equipment and the HVAC system 24 hours a day

You will prepare boilers, chillers, generators and related equipment for annual city, state and insurance inspections

You will perform daily tests on water samples to record and determine what, if any, corrective actions are to be taken

You will perform after hours safety inspections for incoming clinical and non-clinical equipment

You will take routine maintenance calls, as needed

What qualification you will need:

2 years of experience as Stationary Engineer required

Current 1st or 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer Certification through the City of Houston, Texas required
