Civil Crew – Tower Communications Expert (TCE) Location: Various field sites across Texas and surrounding states

Reports to: Construction Manager

Position Summary: The Civil Crew plays a critical role in supporting TCE’s telecom construction projects, including new tower builds, modifications, and site development. This hands‑on team is responsible for ground preparation, concrete work, trenching, conduit installation, grounding, and general site cleanup. Civil Crew Members work closely with Tower, Electrical, and RF teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to TCE’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the installation and construction of tower foundations, shelters, and site compounds

Operate hand and power tools, skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, and other construction equipment

Perform concrete forming, pouring, and finishing

Install conduits, grounding systems, rebar cages, and fencing as directed

Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment at job sites

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following TCE’s safety procedures and OSHA standards

Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete daily tasks efficiently

Travel to job sites across Texas and neighboring states as required (overnight stays may be necessary)

Report equipment issues, hazards, or site concerns promptly to the Civil Foreman

Qualifications

Experience: 1–3 years of general construction or civil telecom work preferred

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications: OSHA 10 (required or ability to obtain); First Aid/CPR and CDL a plus

Basic understanding of concrete, grading, and underground utilities

Ability to read site plans and follow construction drawings

Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Ability to safely operate light and heavy equipment

Willingness to travel and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing

Comfortable working in outdoor environments for extended periods
