Field Service Technician Level 1 - Houston
Salary Range: $68,000.00 - $86,000.00
SUMMARY At the direction of the Field Service Supervisor and the Technical Support Team, the Field Service Technician I will be assigned to complete installation, troubleshooting, and repair of LINET and non-LINET products in hospital and healthcare facilities. The technician will assist during customer installations, report any damages or function failures, and repair bed concerns within established standards while on site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a high level of customer service and interact professionally with customers.
Complete repair work for electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as per established service standards and training.
Assist with installations and perform routine preventative maintenance per service contracts.
Document repairs, evaluate and describe bed function failures and remediation, including parts used or required for restoration, and confirm warranty status.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on beds, stretchers, OBT’s, and accessory items per outlined service contracts and work orders.
Understand the detailed functionality and benefit offering of each product and apply them to meet emergent customer needs.
Maintain ongoing education as provided by LINET to stay current on all LINET products and technologies.
Adhere to LINET Safety Procedures while conducting routine maintenance, repairs, installations, and other work on LINET products.
Wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing at all times.
Maintain and inventory service van, required tools, and spare parts prior to and at the end of each shift.
Report any van or equipment service needs to management for approval to repair prior to continued use.
All other duties as assigned.
Regular and timely attendance; nights, weekends, and on-call hours may be required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5 years related experience and/or training.
Advanced electro-mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills.
Experience driving “C” size trucks.
Valid driver license and ability to be insured under company insurance guidelines; license record reviewed annually.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Works in hospital environments where biohazards may be present. Requires regular talking and hearing; frequent sitting and standing; occasional walking; hands and arms for reaching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Must occasionally drive in inclement weather.
TRAVEL Requires 5% to 80% travel for field service, delivery & installation of beds, and occasional sales support and trade shows.
