Service Manager Your role and responsibilities

Execute Service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. This role specializes in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical power systems, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units (PDU), static switches (STS), and related systems. This role ensures the continuous, reliable operation of mission-critical infrastructure for data centers, hospitals, telecommunications facilities, and other environments where uninterrupted power is essential. The work model for the role is: Remote. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in the south east. You will be mainly accountable for: Performing service tasks, identifying technical problems, and conducting analysis through remote or on-site activities in various service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end-of-life services, replacements, etc.). Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer orders and expectations. Building and maintaining good relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and identifying new sales opportunities to communicate internally. Coordinating, preparing, and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and meet the appropriate quality standards for service activities. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and expertise. Preparing all documents and reports to be delivered to the customer representative. Reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed. Identifying potential equipment failures proactively and requesting corrective actions. Troubleshooting equipment failures and making recommendations to prevent future issues. Identifying suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicating them within the organization. Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service. Applying safety rules and practices, as well as environmental responsibilities. Reporting unsafe practices and incidents. Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering Technology with 1+ years of work experience servicing critical power equipment; or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3+ years’ experience in servicing critical power equipment; or 5+ years equivalent work/military experience servicing critical power equipment (UPS, STS, PDU, etc), or 5 years of critical power equipment experience. Electrical Licenses or certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, NICET, NFPA70E, OSHA 10/30). Advanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization. Works well with others and with a sense of urgency; until the job is complete! Advanced level of ability to use Microsoft Office products; Moderate ability to self-Project Manage using MS Project or Excel. Advanced ability to write test plans, scope of work and reports detailing test results. Experience with SAP and Salesforce is a Plus. More about us
