Overview
Electrical Engineer II (Onsite) at Collins Aerospace. This role focuses on electrical design with emphasis on PCB and system-level design incorporating analog and digital functions. You will interact with mechanical, software, and firmware resources to support development and production of end products, typically for airborne communication and processing systems. What You Will Do
Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met. Participates in technical preparations for new product development and implementation to ensure new products meet required specifications. Troubleshoots electrical device problems to ensure issues are resolved efficiently. Creates engineering and production test procedures. Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption. Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Completes drawing designs as required to facilitate the engineering process. Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Produces products according to specifications, using cost-effective and efficient means. Analyzes and evaluates new or improved electronic components, including circuit theory, computer design and development, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and television systems. Limited travel may be required. Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field. Qualifications We Prefer
An active DoD clearance is preferred Experience in designing digital and analog products including microprocessor systems, low-power supplies, and communication subsystems Experience in creating engineering and production test procedures Experience in designing engineering test fixtures Experience in designing to meet signal integrity requirements for high-speed digital signals Work with Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, and other disciplines to develop functional assemblies Proven experience working with manufacturing teams, vendors, and other suppliers to build cost-effective solutions Experience in requirements generation, validation, allocation, and traceability Familiarity with ALM tools including Jira and Confluence is helpful Experience designing for Military Aircraft applications is helpful Learn More & Apply Now
This position is on-site (Onsite). The salary range is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, responsibilities, experience, location, education, and key skills.
