The successful candidate is expected to report to an assigned facility on a full-time basis. Locations below are opportunities; preferences may be noted but cannot be guaranteed. We are seeking Industrial Engineer Co-ops to perform hands-on work with the potential to contribute to the company’s bottom line. You will analyze efficiency of manufacturing operations and changes related to personnel, material, machines, and facilities, with mentorship from supervisors. Responsibilities

Confirms or recommends changes to layouts, labor control and/or material control Frequent contact with individuals outside the immediate work group Assists in developing accurate methods and optimum operation layouts Creates operation descriptions and performs calculations to complete studies and modify labor/material control systems Job Location

Locations available: Tonawanda, NY; Lansing, MI. Please indicate in your application which locations you are interested in. Physical Requirements

Walk and stand for prolonged periods Read standardized work instructions, operate machines/tools, and perform quality inspections Promptly detect and respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals Wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, safety shoes) Work in a loud manufacturing environment that may be hot or cold Frequently and repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch, reach Lift or carry materials up to 15 pounds; up to 40 pounds occasionally Occasionally sit, climb (including ladders and lifts), and drive vehicles/equipment Required Qualifications

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering Must be graduating between August 2026 and May 2029 Able to work full-time, 40 hours/week Willing to work in a plant environment Enrolled in a co-op program at your university Preferred Qualifications

Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex topics Strong character with integrity, accountability and trust Innovative, customer-centric thinking Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $5,300, dependent upon degree. GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2026 Student Program.
