Responsibilities Adhere to all safety, food safety regulations, and company guidelines. Promote trust and respect among associates. Communicate effectively with team members about company, department, and job-specific information. Set performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed them through teamwork. Manage scheduling to handle customer volume. Train and develop associates in inventory management, stocking, CAO, Key Retailing, and other tasks. Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and recommending products. Offer product samples and inform customers of specials. Inspect products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate actions. Use Fresh Insights to optimize sell-through and reduce shrinkage. Recommend produce items to customers based on their needs. Develop and implement a business plan for the department. Work in refrigerated areas and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Implement merchandising and promotional plans. Maintain current knowledge of advertisements and promotions. Monitor and control expenses and inventory conditions. Ensure accurate pricing and promotional signage. Assist in inventory management and temperature control in cases and coolers. Reinforce safety programs, report unsafe conditions, and perform preventive maintenance. Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
