To increase engine efficiency and service life, and to reduce emissions, MAHLE manufactures filters, pump systems, and oil coolers for engine and transmission applications. We ensure clean air and prevent contamination in oil and fuel that can damage engines. Clean supply air is also vital for the smooth operation of fuel cells.
Your Contribution
Our Engineering Supervisor is responsible for assisting production in achieving productivity goals by establishing an engineering regimen that ensures efficient processes with minimal downtime. Support and achieve plant and departmental goals. Manage engineering resources across all three shifts. Coordinate with other Engineering managers on resource sharing and issue resolution. Implement manufacturing strategies, projects, and action plans aligned with strategic initiatives. Manage technical risks during project implementation and series production. Oversee department staffing and training to optimize asset use and reduce overtime. Lead teams in creating, quoting, and executing engineering plans for product/process changes and continuous improvements. Prepare and present detailed reports as required. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, and conflict resolution. Your Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred. At least five years of manufacturing experience. Minimum three years of progressive responsibility in engineering or manufacturing operations. Experience in an automotive manufacturing facility required; high-volume, medium to large campus experience preferred. Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards and audits. Excellent diagnostic and root cause analysis skills; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification desirable. Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints. Strong communication skills to interface with all management levels, customers, and vendors. High energy and stress management capabilities. Proven leadership and employee development skills. Good knowledge of robotics, PLC programming, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical and electronic systems, mechanical power transmission, and combustion systems; familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance, safety, and environmental processes.
