Team Builder Staffing
The function of the job is to assist production in achieving their productivity goals by setting up an engineering regiment that will enable our processes to run efficiently with minimal down time.
Responsibilities
Manage engineering resources for all assigned operations across all three shifts.
Close coordination with other Engineering managers with regards to resource sharing & issue resolution.
Implement manufacturing strategies, projects, and action plans in support of strategic initiatives.
Manage technical risks throughout project implementation and series production.
Manage department staffing level & training program, ensuring most effective return on assets while reducing overtime.
Close collaboration with various departments to identify problems and implement solutions.
Ensure all engineers are meeting set roles & responsibilities.
Lead team in creating, quoting & executing solid engineering plans for product/process changes, continuous improvement initiatives, quality improvements, etc.
Assess departmental training needs then develop & implement required training program.
Prepare and present detailed reports/graphs on assigned topics as required.
All other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, B.S. in Engineering, or a comparable field preferred.
10 or more years’ experience in manufacturing.
Minimum of ten years of progressive responsibility regarding engineering or manufacturing operations.
Experience in an automotive manufacturing facility required; high volume, medium to large campus experience preferred.
Knowledge in IATF16949 Audits and ISO14001 and 45001 Audits and processes.
Excellent diagnostic abilities / root cause analysis required; Lean Six Sigma and Black Belt certification desirable.
Strong ability to read & interpret electrical & mechanical schematics and blueprints.
Ability to interface with all levels of Management, customers & vendors with high confidence and skilled communication.
Strong experience with preventative & predictive maintenance within manufacturing environment
Perform at a high level of energy with the ability to cope with variable levels of stress.
Capacity to work in a complex environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Software & computer capability.
Proven leadership and employee development skills.
Good working knowledge of: Robotics, PLC programs, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, Electrical and Electronic systems, Mechanical Power transmission and Combustion; Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Processes, Safety & Environmental Processes.
Required Skills
Must be fluent in English.
Working level second language skills is a plus.
Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
Able to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and directors, and to present to groups of customers or employees of the organization.
