Cardinal Point Security Group is building a team of Security Officers who will facilitate a safe learning environment and keep students, staff, and faculty safe from violence. Location
Birdsboro, PA Pay and Schedule
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Schedule includes regular school hours plus after-school and occasional weekend events when required. This position follows the school calendar, with 2 months off during the summer. Duties & Responsibilities
Be a Cardinal Point Ambassador: Be on time. Look sharp in proper uniform. Be engaged. Be consistent Coach and mentor students Incident management and verbal de-escalation Maintains orderly flow of foot traffic in the hallways Monitors restrooms throughout the day Reports on maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel Walks up to 10,000 steps per day to patrol school facilities and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism Stands for up to four hours per day Acts as a first responder for emergencies Stands post at secondary locations as required Identifies and reports suspicious activity Completes daily activity reports and incident reports as required Cultivates positive relationships with staff and students Access control Monitors CCTV Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years’ post-secondary education work experience Minimum 3 years of security experience working in a school environment, or have experience as a sworn Police Officer, Military, or Corrections Officer Able to work well under pressure High School Diploma or GED Obtains required clearances for working in school Ability to complete all required training to work in schools No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access) Ability to comprehend and utilize the English language (verbal and written) Reliable means of transportation Must possess a focused, professional, and courteous demeanor Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a sworn municipal, state, or federal police officer OR Military MP, Military MA, Air Force Security Forces Valid driver’s license Benefits
