This dynamic dual-role position is at the heart of ensuring seamless operations by overseeing and driving the entire maintenance work control process. You’ll be the mastermind behind prioritizing maintenance work, developing detailed job plans, and determining the right parts, materials, crafts, and skills needed to get the job done. By assigning work control plans to supervisors, you will ensure the efficient execution of maintenance tasks by our skilled hourly staff. You’ll also provide essential equipment expertise and technical guidance to continuously enhance maintenance activities, while occasionally stepping into a leadership role to manage both Smithfield employees and contractors. You will own and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) at the plant level and be the go‑to expert ensuring that all systems run smoothly and efficiently.
