Rental Field Service Technician
We are currently offering a
$5,000 sign-on bonus
for new hires. $2,500 is payable after 90 days of employment, and the remaining $2,500 after 180 days. Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring a Rental Field Service Technician in Manassas, Virginia. The technician applies advanced mechanical skills to perform maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar and allied rental equipment both in the shop and at customer sites. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, determining repair procedures, and preparing parts requisitions. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in advanced mechanical service and repairs of Caterpillar and related equipment. A high school diploma or GED is required. Requirements
Thorough knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components for troubleshooting and analysis. Advanced mechanical aptitude. Ability to repair Caterpillar and allied machinery. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional interaction with customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-directed, organized, with good workload prioritization and customer service skills. Ability to learn and apply new knowledge. Proficiency with technical software, databases, and manuals. Excellent driving record; ability to obtain CDL and/or DOT certification. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed. Ability to promote positive customer experiences. Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Frequently sit and lift/move up to 70 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Benefits
