Customer Service Medical Collections Specialist
NORCAL Ambulance is seeking energetic, passionate, and team-oriented staff for our Accounts Receivable team. No prior experience necessary as we are willing to train the right candidates. The ideal candidates will have: Excellent oral and written communication skills Customer service experience in resolving billing issues Hardworking, punctual, accurate, and detail-oriented Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collection efforts, payment posting, medical coding and billing corrections, appeals, claim submissions, and insurance communications Managing accounts receivable tasks such as follow-up on unpaid or denied claims, responding to payor communications, and maintaining detailed activity notes Working directly with insurance companies and patients to process claims and secure payments Assisting patients with appeals and preparing necessary documentation Understanding payer guidelines for various insurance types and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA regulations Establishing payment arrangements and following up on delinquent accounts The position is on-site in Livermore, CA, and is full-time at an entry level in the Accounting/Auditing and Finance industry.
