We’re looking for Superintendents experienced in geotechnical or civil construction who know how to manage teams and projects to get work done. This is a travel job with projects across the Eastern US. Crews work a 3-week on, 1-week off schedule. We specialize in geohazard emergency response, landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, and grouting using design/build and design/build/warranty contracting. Responsibilities Manage a team to install geohazard mitigation products as per drawings and operating procedures. Follow the PISTOL process, focusing on pre-construction planning. Create and execute safety plans for crew protection. Plan and manage projects with daily management processes (+QDIPC). Monitor project performance, including duration and budget variances. Maintain compliance through logs, checklists, photo submissions, as-builts, and documentation. Manage crew relations, performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Manage crew travel logistics. Ensure equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and documentation. Adhere to quality and testing programs. Promote teamwork and communication across project teams. Maintain effective client communication skills. Qualifications Minimum 5 years in the construction industry (geotechnical preferred), including job management and knowledge of building products/services. At least 1 year experience as a Superintendent. Ability to interpret scope, blueprints, and specifications accurately, meeting profitability goals. Ability to motivate teams for quality, timely projects. Proven project and crew management skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally. Flexible schedule to meet business needs. Knowledge of company hardware and web systems. Valid driver’s license required (CDL A helpful). Ability to use pneumatic, battery-powered, or electric tools. Willingness to travel extensively. Work Environment Varied climates from tropical to desert. Moderate noise levels, hearing protection often required. Exposure to construction site hazards. Heavy lifting (75 lbs+) of materials. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. Travel Up to 100% travel across the U.S. Compensation Salaried, Non-Exempt role with weekly pay. Hourly rate: $33-40/hr. Average total compensation over $120,000 in 2024 with bonuses and overtime. Yearly bonus, stock ownership, paid travel.
