Insight Global is looking for a Assistant Project Manager for a large construction client. This APM will be responsible for assistance in coordinating and managing all necessary resources throughout the entire project, from start-up through closeout. The APM shall ensure that both the Owner’s as well as the company's expectations and budgetary guidelines are met or exceeded while assisting with the management of the day-to-day responsibilities of multiple projects. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or applicable discipline and experience relative to project size/scope 3+ years working as a APM in the construction industry Proficient in and/or capable of quickly learning Procore Ability to manage and prioritize tasks/projects with little supervision Responsibilities
Assist and communicate with BDGC Superintendent, Subcontractors and Vendors to assist them in working toward the Project Schedule. Represent BDGC with Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors. Assist with administering the financial aspects of the Owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Build effective working relationships with clients and the BDGC project team members. Assist with Project Start-Up: review the Prime Contract and contract documents and setup the Project within Procore; ensure all current drawings are loaded into Procore and that the drawing log is updated; setup the project Budget and/or import the project budget to Procore. Create a schedule of values and project logs as necessary for the project. Coordinate a project Kick-Off Meeting with both the client and AE Team as well as with the trade partners. Create and/or revise the project schedule to meet the project demands. Assist with the Purchasing process and Project buy-out: work with the Estimator to manage the sub list and buy-out for the project. Write and issue scopes of work and individual trade’s subcontract agreements; distribute and log subcontracts, write required contract riders and purchase orders, and confirm compliance with project insurance requirements. Coordinate, assist, and chair Owner, Architect and Contractor (OAC) Meetings for the project (typically weekly). Coordinate, assist, and co-chair along with the Superintendent for the project all Subcontractor Meetings (typically weekly). Attend all schedule and management meetings necessary to monitor and manage the project, chairing as appropriate; alongside the Project Manager, update the project schedule and look-ahead schedules weekly. Assist with Financial Management: assist with the management of requisitions and payments including lien releases and project payroll and maintain cash flow; assist with submission of all Payment Applications and track payments from Owners; manage change management and prime contract changes; participate in internal monthly Forecast meetings. Understand each project’s closeout and document/material delivery requirements and track and archive them; manage subcontractor closeout, transfer of utilities, owner training and punch list process; deliver all warranties, as-builts and training to the owner; ensure permits are closed out properly; obtain Certificate of Occupancy or Certificate of Completion as required. Maintain and track project information in Procore: set up new projects, manage and distribute submittals, manage RFIs and track to closure, handle change management and change orders, manage budget forecasting, maintain the Document Control Log and Project Directory. Assist the Superintendents as necessary and provide information to help them perform daily duties. Walk all projects throughout the week to monitor safety and enforce OSHA requirements and Quality Control. Perform other duties as assigned. Seniority level
