Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will coordinate programs and supplier activities, engage in supplier training, manage launches and quality processes, and oversee risk and issue management. This role requires a strong focus on quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, specifically in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
Identify new tooled parts and manage supplier agreements.
Maintain part data in the APQP system, including updates and changes.
Obtain site codes and initiate submissions.
Train suppliers and internal teams on APQP/PPAP processes.
Track readiness assessments and ensure timely submissions.
Prepare documentation for milestone and launch reviews.
Resolve issues flagged based on urgency with cross‑functional teams.
Lead meetings to address PPAP delays and ensure on‑time approvals.
Monitor and escalate supplier risks impacting launch.
Support various build events and quality audits.
Lead issue resolution using the internal management system, including containment and corrective actions.
Essential Skills
Quality engineering expertise.
Proficiency in PPAP and APQP processes.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
Experience with IATF and TS16949 standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a similar field.
Over 10 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
Supplier quality experience with tracking tools and systems.
Experience in the automotive industry, either with an OEM or Tier Supplier, or new model launch experience.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.43 - $42.43/hr.
