Nurture and manage relationships with key suppliers, manage cost reduction and productivity projects, and support new program sourcing requirements. Support efforts to establish cost effective, long term solutions with key suppliers to optimize total acquisition cost of materials and ensure material availability. Support new product development as an integral team member to assure the best supply solution is leveraged for the life of the program in alignment with the established sourcing strategy. Assure recurring cost targets are achieved for purchased and subcontracted content. Support cost reduction initiatives as an integral team member to identify and drive the best supply solution. Liaise with the site procurement organization to execute supply strategies identified for new product development and legacy production. Monitor and report performance toward cost, lead time, and quality targets using visual metrics. Use supplier performance data to drive continuous improvement and provide feedback to suppliers for programs and issue resolution. Develop and negotiate long term agreements, blanket POs and stocking agreements in support of production plans. Function as commodity expert focal point for Crane Aerospace & Electronics and coordinate with cross functional teams to achieve program deliverables. Coordinate with New Product Introduction Teams, Engineers, and outsourcing teams to drive action plans toward program goals. Provide prompt resolution of commodity issues raised from product lines and manufacturing support shops. Participate in development and maintenance of the Strategic Sourcing Commodity Plan. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or management. Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Three (3) + years in Sourcing / Procurement, Subcontracts Management or related supply chain role with a BA/BS in any discipline; or One (1) + year in Sourcing / Procurement with a BA/BS in Supply Chain Management. Knowledge: Solid understanding of sourcing strategy development and purchasing; understanding of aerospace electrical specifications and comparisons; broad knowledge of electronics industry practices related to delivery performance and lead time reduction. Skills/Abilities: Ability to develop, negotiate and administer long term agreements; coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing Operations and Suppliers; understand complex customer flow down requirements; strong interpersonal skills for aerospace teams. Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain or equivalent experience; Master’s degree is a plus; Professional certification (APICS, CPM, CPSM) desired. Employment Eligibility: This position requires access to controlled data; US persons only. ITAR compliance applies as a DoD contractor. Working Conditions
Normal manufacturing environment. Approximately 10% travel to support customers. May require PPE and exposure to typical manufacturing environments (noise, temperatures, dust, etc.). Physical requirements listed may include standing, sitting, lifting up to 25 pounds, and computer use. Top Benefits
