Position Summary: Supply Chain Specialist : The Supply Chain Specialist will support the Senior Supply Chain Manager to assist in coordinating our supply chain processes to optimize production needs and ensure efficient flow of goods and materials from suppliers to customers. This role will collaborate with production, scheduling, purchasing, and shipping/receiving to accurately forecast demands, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate logistics activities. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or certificate in supply chain management, logistics, or related field Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred Proven experience in supply chain management or similar role Prior manufacturing environment experience Essential Job Functions Collaborate with operations to ensure production completion within scheduled periods of time and budget Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies Inventory Management Analyze inventory levels and turnover rates to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs Assist in forecasting demand and supply requirements to maintain inventory accuracy Support inventory optimization initiatives Supplier Management Assist in the negotiation of supplier agreements and contracts Evaluate supplier performance and assess their impact on the supply chain Identify opportunities to strengthen supplier relationships and improve lead times Logistics Optimization Optimize transportation routes through carrier negotiations and relationship management Develop and implement data-driven strategies to streamline logistics operations and reduce costs Sourcing Manage RFQ (request for quotation) process to select supplier(s) Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, reliability, and total cost Process Optimization and Data Analysis Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of inefficiency within the supply chain Assist in the development and execution of supply chain strategies Generate reports and findings to support data-driven decision-making Performance Metrics Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain activities Monitor KPIs to assess performance, identify deviations from targets, and recommend corrective actions Continuously improve the measurement and reporting of supply chain performance Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Ability to navigate facility and production areas as necessary
