Job Title: Sr Supvr Operations Posting Start Date: 9/23/25 Salary: $68,640 - $114,660 This position is eligible for annual incentive pay and has the opportunity for continued salary growth. Supervises the day-to-day water and/or wastewater operations in accordance with Company policies and procedures and all applicable governmental laws and regulations.
Assures policies, procedures, programs, and performance are adhered to ensure continuing and increasing operational efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability. Train and develop personnel to ensure that operational integrity (quality, environment, reliability, health, safety, security, etc.) is maintained. Key Accountabilities
Supervise and coordinate regional construction, operations, and maintenance within established budget limitations. Ensure that all required permits, licenses, rights of way, etc. are obtained for proper compliance. Ensure local water and/or wastewater operations meet the required standards and are in compliance with regulatory targets. Support the development and direction of cost-effective solutions to meet customers’ expectations and technical requirements and to encourage best practices and innovation throughout all operational areas. Manage all customer service-related issues and escalations within areas of responsibility. Implement and foster the coaching and development of employees, including idea generation, within respective functional areas. Support the Business Development function in the operational analysis pricing and integration of water and wastewater business opportunities in both the regulated and non-regulated markets. Ensure effective people management policies and practices are developed and implemented (e.g., time and attendance, workforce management, Respect and Dignity, Workplace Conduct and Behavior, etc.) and ensure resources are developed and deployed appropriately. Support the development of a diverse workforce and inclusive culture. Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to shared operational goals. Collaborate with other functional leads to identify and mitigate business risks. Provide effective leadership that will enhance our abilities to be flexible to changing business environments. Contribute to effective communication at all levels of our operations by listening and providing constructive feedback; supporting the creation of an open and honest work environment; cascading and sharing knowledge and information relevant to other members of the team and colleagues across the business. Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of the regulated water/wastewater business within the region and the regulations impacting the business as well as applicable regulations, requirements, and trends within water/wastewater operations. Knowledge of company policies and procedures and management theories, practices, and trends. Ability to function both independently and as a member of a cohesive team. Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and schematics. Strong working knowledge or aptitude to learn and navigate various technologies and tools including (but not limited to) mobile phones, Ipads, laptops, internet and intranet sites, MS Office Suite, GIS, MapCall, MyTime, Customer 1 View, Excel, Mondays, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc. Experience/Education
High School Diploma or GED is required Minimum 2-5 years experience in operational discipline, management, or related technical discipline or equivalent is preferred Previous experience managing a team is required Previous experience managing union-represented employees preferred Valid driver's license is required On call responsibilities Indoor and outdoor environment. 24/7 operations Strong knowledge of computer software such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required Licenses & Certifications
NJDEP W1 and C1 preferred, with the ability and commitment to obtain progressive licenses. Other
